Meet Lucinda, Owner of Sitter and Sage
At Sitter and Sage, I provide experienced, individualized in-home pet care for animals of all ages, personalities, and needs.
With six years of professional pet sitting and a lifetime of hands-on animal experience, I understand that every pet requires a different approach.
My background includes working in an SPCA animal shelter, a veterinary office, and animal rescue, as well as emergency communications, where staying calm and making thoughtful decisions under pressure were essential.
I have a particular understanding of senior pets, anxious companions, and animals requiring medication, careful observation, or consistent routines.
My approach is simple: understand each animal, respect their routine, and provide the dependable care that allows their people to travel with confidence.

Sitter and Sage is owned and operated by me, Lucinda Bentley, with the support of my husband, Donald.
I'm the primary caregiver and the person you'll work with throughout your pet-sitting experience. From our initial meet and greet to your pet's daily routines, medication needs, and overnight companionship, I provide the hands-on care that makes Sitter and Sage personal.
Donald plays an important role behind the scenes. He helps with travel logistics, navigation, safety, and the everyday details that keep our business running smoothly.
Occasionally, he joins me for meet and greets or provides support during longer assignments.
Together, we've built a business centered on responsibility, compassion, and respect for the families who welcome us into their lives.
While I'm the familiar face your pets will come to know, Donald is part of the support system that helps me provide dependable, attentive care.
We're proud to bring a personal, family-supported approach to pet care from Florida's Treasure Coast through the Florida Keys.

Whether your companion is a senior, experiences anxiety, needs medication support, or simply prefers company throughout the day, I provide calm, dependable care in the comfort of home.
